OUR MISSION AND PURPOSE STATEMENT

The Mission of Kids Matter Youth Foundation is to help enrich the lives of our youth by raising money through music and sporting events for charities and groups that support causes that are focused on youth health, sport, arts and music.
Our Purpose is to provide an outstanding yearly event that will bring together former NHL players and music celebrities in multifaceted (hockey game, music concert, golf tournament) charity fundraiser. Also to provide exposure to our beautiful South Okanagan and its many wonderful recreational and business opportunities.

HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE SOUTH OKANAGAN PICS & STICKS 2019

What an awesome experience to team up with Canadian Country music star, Gord Bamford to support local youth and charitable causes in the South Okanagan.
The event was the first of its kind in our area with a perfect mix of sports and music. We enjoyed a charity hockey game: Edmonton Oilers Alumni versus The Alumni, with the opportunity to play alongside NHL alumni like Glenn Anderson, Chris Joseph, Marty McSorley, Ron Lowe and country music stars like Gord Bamford, Dallas Smith, Aaron Pritchett and Chad Brownlee, an 18 hole golf tournament at the Sonora Dunes Golf Course, and of course a banquet and concert at the Spirit Ridge Resort in Osoyoos.
In partnership with the South Okanagan Youth Foundation we were fortunate to raise funds for charities including the Children’s Miracle Network, Make-A-Wish Foundation British Columbia, Basic for Babies, and the area’s minor hockey associations. All of this was possible because of the incredible community support and tireless volunteers who made the event a huge success. Thank you everyone!
